Project Description:

ECOS consultant carried out a Social-economic impact assessment study of the 2018/19 drought on the community of Chikupi in Kafue district in Zambia, April-May 2019. The consultant conducted a quick social-economic impact survey on the farmers and community in and around the Chikupi area of Kafue in order to identify
a) The immediate implications of this drought on the livelihoods of the communities.
b) The short and long-term outlook for farmers in the area arising from the drought.
c) List of supportive organizations active in the area that can be mobilized to assist in the recovery.
d) Anticipated support from identified organizations or associations.

ECOS team carried out the project baseline survey for TROCAIRE project: “Enhancing participatory governance and accountability” project. This was a USAID funded agriculture project mainly targeting women and youth in five districts of Rwanda.

ECOS team assessed the impact of all interventions of Westwood project “Sustainable Farming for Small-Scale Farmers in Post-Genocide Rwanda”. This evaluation also tracked uncovered areas, challenges encountered during the whole process of the implementation, sustained results and new opportunities to be considered in the programme re-design process.
